Philosophy

I believe in accurately meeting each of my patients individual needs to achieve the best of outcomes.

What we try and do at this practice is offer sensible, logical appropriate treatment for each patient. In obstetrics, it is by getting to know a patient well during the course of the pregnancy that one is able to acquire a better understanding as to what the patient requires to achieve the best possible outcome. Thus, you could summarise my birth plan for my patients would be to strive for a safe delivery of a healthy baby with minimal trauma to mother and child, in the process.

For gynaecology, I offer my patients the time to work out what the problems are. We try and offer safe and conservative treatment, typically starting with the easiest and safest options first, then moving onto more complicated options if required. It is important that a specialist a patient sees should depend upon the patient’s need, the advice and recommendations from their GP. Dr Simpson is always delighted to hear that he was recommended by previous/current patients as well.
